
The opening meeting of the Digital Language Lab (DLL) project supported by Bursa Technical University (BTU) under the Erasmus+ KA220-SCH Programme was held. In the first meeting of the project, which will develop educational tools that will enable teachers to be more effective in the digital world, the general road map was determined.
Work Packages, Distribution of Tasks, Implementation Processes Ozlem Cengiz, Lecturer at BTU School of Foreign Languages, explained the main objectives and expected outputs of the project and introduced the project team. The project partners stated that they aim to develop innovative approaches for the effective use of digital tools in foreign language education. BTU academicians also expressed their interest and support for the project. The meeting continued with the determination of the road map of the project by detailing the work packages, task allocations and implementation processes. Following the opening meeting, the partners clarified the steps to be taken in the project process and started to work for effective cooperation.
What is Digital Language Lab Project?
The 30-month, 250,000 Euro grant-funded Digital Language Lab aims to improve teachers' digital skills and increase cooperation in the field of language education. Within the scope of the project, an innovative online platform that supports foreign language teaching with Web 2.0 tools will be developed. While DLL aims to strengthen cooperation between educational institutions in Europe in the field of digitalisation and language teaching, the outputs to be obtained will be designed to be accessible to all educators. The project team, which focuses on developing educational materials and tools that will enable teachers to be more effective in the digital world, includes Lect. Ozlem Cengiz, Lect. Elif Atalı from BTU School of Foreign Languages and Lect. Ali Kılıç from International Relations Office.
