Residence Permit Application Process

Documents required for residence permit:

1.Residence permit application form :  https://e- ikamet.goc.gov.tr/ikamet/basvuru/ilkbasvuru (wet signature)

2.Passport or Copy of the document replacing the passport: The page containing identity information and photograph, copies of the passport’s entry-exit pages, pages showing visa information and processed pages, as well as the original passport must be available on the appointment day.

3.Student Certificate: A barcode-stamped document obtained from the e-government system showing active status, or a wet-signed document (recently dated).

4.Four (4) Biometric Photographs: Biometric photographs must be available in digital format during the e-Residence application process.

5.Declaration of Sufficient and Regular Financial Means for the Duration of Stay

6.Document/Receipt Showing Payment of the Residence Card Fee:  You can make the payment through the website https://dijital.gib.gov.tr or at the Tax Offices.

7.Valid Health Insurance: Students who enroll after 01/01/2024 are required to have General Health Insurance (GSS) from SGK.

8.Document Showing Place of Residence:

·       If you are staying in your own house, a copy of the title deed; (For extension applications, "residence document and invoice" are sufficient.)

·       For first-time applicants; If you are staying with a rental agreement, a notarized copy of your rental contract and a copy of the property owner's title deed.

·       For extension applicants; Residence document, if there is no residence document and you are staying with a rental agreement; a notarized copy of the rental contract, a copy of the property owner's title deed, and an electricity, water, or natural gas bill/contract in your name.

·       If you are staying in hotels or similar accommodations, documents proving your stay in these places.

·       If you are staying in student dormitories, an e-signed/signed and sealed/stamped document proving your stay in the dormitory, and a copy of the SGK (Social Security Institution) Employment Notification of the authorized signatory.

·       If you are staying with a third person, a notarized commitment from the person you are staying with (if the person is married, also a notarized commitment from their spouse).

9.National Electronic Notification System (UETS):

It is mandatory to obtain for extension applications.
