2019-2020 Incoming Student Application Procedure
- Application Requirements:
- The students’ cumulative grade point average for Bachelor’s Degree should be 2.50/4.00 or 65/100 and for Master, PhD level should be 3.00/4.00 or 76/100.
- First year students in bachelor’s degree programs cannot participate in Mevlana Exchange Program. Also, students who are in first semester in graduate schools (Master's and doctoral programs) cannot participate in this program.
- Your university must have a signed Protocol with Bursa Technical University. Mobility for the 2019-2020 Academic year :

- Please send us your candidates’ applications until 01st March 2019 by e-mail.
- The documents needed for the application are as follows:
- Candidate Student Application Form
- Transcript in English or Turkish
- Language Certificate (IELTS / TOEFL / B1 English or Turkish Certificate taken from an institution)
- Copy of Passport
- The language of instruction is mainly Turkish in Bursa Technical University. If you are applying from a Turkish Language Speaking Country or your mother tongue is Turkish, you don’t need to present a Turkish Certificate.
- Scholarship:
Eighty percent (%80) of the scholarship will be paid to students when they come to BTÜ. Twenty percent (%20) of the amount will be paid to students after the grades of the courses are announced. The amount is stable and it is 4.800 Turkish Lira. The monthly scholarship is equal to 1.200 Turkish Lira and it will be paid to students for a period of four months.
- Accommodation:
Bursa Technical University does not offer accommodation; the International Office will assist the students in finding accommodation
- Residence Permit:
Foreign students have to apply for a residence permit when they come to Bursa Technical University.
“A valid passport is requested to enter Turkey. Passports term of validity should be at least 6 months longer than your planned duration of stay in Turkey. Regardless of whether the duration of the stay is short or long, students have to apply for a residence permit.
Documents needed to receive a residence permit to study in Turkey:
- Passport
- A copy of visa from Turkish Consulate
- Four passport size photos
- An official letter (Shows the study period in related school and will be given by Bursa Technical University International Relations Office by the time the student arrives)
- A petition (will be written in police department while submitting the documents)
- Health Insurance
- Nomination or Grant Letter from your home university
- The health insurance is compulsory for incoming students. If you already have insurance in English, then you have to translate it into Turkish and submit the translated version as well as the original document. If you do not have health insurance when you come to Turkey, then you have to do it in here (and pay for the insurance cost).
