International Students Reciting the Quran for Oppressed Regions

At Bursa Technical University (BTU), international students from different countries of the world organized a Quran Recitation program for the martyrs of Palestine, East Turkistan and all oppressed geographies. Students from 10 different countries recited the Quran and prayed for the oppressed geographies.


BTU Rector Prof. Dr. Naci Çağlar, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Barış Tamer Tonguç, Secretary General Selim Uzun and students attended the program held at Mimar Sinan Campus Turkuaz Hall. In the program, students from Benin, Chad, Ethiopia, Morocco, Palestine, Gambia, Egypt, Mauritania, Sudan and Yemen recited the Holy Quran for the souls of those who were martyred in all oppressed geographies. In the event, students drew attention to the persecution and suffering in their own countries.


Speaking at the program, BTU Rector Prof. Dr. Naci Çağlar said, "Our university is not only an academic but also a center of humanitarian and conscientious unity with its students from different countries. The suffering in Palestine, East Turkestan and all over the world is a common issue for all of us. This program is the voice of conscience and a strong expression of brotherhood." The program ended with the presentation of documents and a group photo session.
